What devices are protected by your surge protector?
Any device on the same circuit as the plug-in EMP surge protector device will be protected. For best results, place our surge protector as close as possible to the main electrical panel for whole house protection.
Will the unit still provide protection if the outlet is not live?
Yes, as long as the surge protector is connected to the wiring, it will provide protection. However, the protection light will not work unless power is present.
Yes, you can connect only one side of the device to protect a 120V circuit (connect the WHITE and BLACK wires) but note the other light will not illuminate. The device contains Qty. 2 120V circuits. You can certainly use only one if needed.
